Everna Care is a specialist, London-based care-staffing agency. We deliberately stay boutique: a closely-managed group of care homes we know personally, served from a curated bench of workers we employ directly and vet properly. Depth of relationship over scale of app.
Why we exist
London’s care homes run the highest bed occupancy in England. A full home on a CQC-regulated service cannot legally run short-staffed — when sickness, leave, or a sudden departure opens a gap in the rota, cover has to be found, and it has to be safe.
The market answers that with two extremes: huge self-serve booking apps where nobody knows your home, and small agencies where compliance can be a filing cabinet and a promise. We built the third option — an agency small enough to genuinely know every home and every worker, running on systems rigorous enough that an unvetted worker cannot be booked, because the software itself refuses.
The same relationships serve homes beyond temp cover. The sector’s hardest-to-fill role is the Registered Manager, so permanent placement for Registered and Deputy Managers is a first-class service here, not a sideline.
How we’re different
Payroll run to accredited standards
Every worker is paid PAYE through our specialist payroll partner, which holds full FCSA and APSCo compliance accreditation — the sector's strictest independent payroll standards. Tax, National Insurance, pension, and holiday handled properly, with none of the grey-area pay schemes that plague this industry.
A vetting gate the system enforces
Nine documents — right to work, enhanced DBS, two verified references, four mandatory training certificates, and a signed contract — verified by a named member of staff and tracked to their expiry dates. Our booking system physically blocks placing anyone who isn't fully in date.
Honesty over bravado
We track our own fill rate and quote it plainly. If we can't safely cover a shift, we say so early enough for you to act — we'd rather tell you no than fail your rota at 6pm.

A placement that fails a compliance check doesn't happen, whatever it costs us that day. There is no override.

Transparent terms of business, a clear temp-to-perm route with a published introduction fee, and invoices itemised shift by shift.

Fair pay benchmarked against the London Living Wage, compliant PAYE pay with full statutory rights, and a portal that respects their time.

Fill rate, response time, and compliance are measured weekly on our own dashboard — the same numbers we'd show you if you asked.
